In The Dharma of Unfaithful Wives and Faithful Jackals: Some Moral Tales from the Mahabharata, Wendy Doniger, Mircea Eliade Professor Emerita of the History of Religions, translates and interprets tales from the Sanskrit epic, the Mahabharata, that illustrate and often challenge the traditional dharma of women and animals. Professor Richard Rosengarten, Associate Professor of Religion, Literature, and Visual Culture, will respond.
