Dr. Katharina Heyden is Professor for Ancient History of Christianity and Interreligious Encounters at the University of Bern. Dr. Heyden will join us in the summer of 2021 as a Marty Center Senior Fellow. Her website includes a complete list of publications and open access papers.

Dr. Heyden writes that "A Senior Fellowship at the Martin Marty Center would give me the opportunity to systematize and discuss various aspects of my previous research and academic interests in a concentrated and inspiring atmosphere. The University of Chicago, with its Humboldtian character and its impressive legacy within the US-American academic system, is an ideal place to pursue these objectives. I am looking forward to intensive research periods in private as well as to the exchange in the seminar with junior and senior colleagues." Dr. Heyden will be working on a variety of projects during her fellowship related to her work.
