Philip Guzman is the Student Affairs Manager in the Dean of Students Office.

What are you looking forward to about your new role in the Divinity School?

I look forward to being able to work with such a diverse group of individuals who are all academically driven. Being a first generation high school and college graduate, education has always been very important to me. I want to be a supportive role both to the students and the team to ensure success across the Divinity School and anywhere else I can help.

What are you looking forward to about living in Hyde Park/Chicago?

Being in Chicago I am excited to explore new aspects of life. I am looking forward to living in a new city that has such a very different culture than Phoenix. Besides great new people I am also excited for all the amazing food! 

What do you like to do outside of your work at the Divinity School?

Outside of work, I like to explore the city and go sightseeing. I also like to spend time wandering through museums and discovering new restaurants.

Anything else you would like to share?

I am a dog dad to a beautiful 1 year old Shih Poo girl named Bleu.
