    Salary Range or Pay Grade: Salary Range: $150,000 - $225,000. This base pay range is for a nine-month academic appointment paid over twelve months. This position may be eligible for a taxable moving allowance. 

    Description: 

    The University of Chicago Divinity School invites applications for full professor position(s) in Catholic Studies, for an appointment date of July 1, 2027, or some date thereafter. The successful candidate(s) will have deep familiarity with the Catholic theological tradition. Disciplinary approach is open.

    The Divinity School is the graduate professional school for the academic study of religion at the University of Chicago, a private research university. Faculty in the School teach graduate students in its Ph.D., M.A., M.Div., and A.M.R.S. programs as well as undergraduates in the College. Many members of the faculty hold associate appointments in humanities or social science departments and professional schools of the University. A normal teaching load is four courses per year on a quarter system.

     Qualifications: 

    The successful candidate(s) will be an established leader in their field, with a distinguished record of publication and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching.
