Description of academic interests and field of study
Most broadly, I am interested in South Asian traditions, multifaith dialogue, and identity formation.
Description of fellowship
This summer, I will be thinking about the potential for art to serve as a means of resilience, dialogue, and identity formation for communities that have faced faith-based violence. I plan to spend time in Delhi and Amritsar, India to focus on some of the many ways that the Sikh community, individually and communally, uses art to engage with the violence inflicted against those of Sikh identities during Operation Bluestar and the anti-Sikh Delhi Pogroms of 1984.
