Dear Divinity School Students:
Welcome to the Dean of Students’ web page for current Divinity School students! This page has been conceived as a means of providing you with vital information from the Office of the Dean of Students. From notices about available fellowships and job opportunities to qualifying exam bibliographies, Divinity School policies and forms, you will find important information to support you during your time as a student here.
As Dean of Students, my responsibilities include admissions and financial aid, administration of academic policy, monitoring of students’ academic progress, and support of placement and professionalization activities. I am delighted to discuss your academic plans and hope that you will always feel free to bring any questions or concerns you may have to my attention. I will be communicating via email throughout the year, but many of the applications and forms that I will write to you about will be posted here as well. In addition, I will host an online bulletin board to answer questions that many of you may have. Of course, you may always write to me personally at tdowens@uchicago.edu. I am also available for office appointments during the week from 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. To schedule an appointment, please contact my office at 773-702-8217.
