"Thinking at the Edge"

Friday February 6, 2016
1:30-5:30pm, Lutheran School of Theology,

This workshop will be co-facilitated by Donata Schoeller and Elena Lloyd-Sidle. This training will help seminarians articulate key aspects of their historical tradition as it relates to positions they take in a community that may or may not share this tradition.

May 2, 2014

Our final event of Widening the Circle will synthesize theory and identity as participants hear from Anton Flores-Maisonet, an individual immersed in the activity of solidarity. Through joint critical reflection, we hear resonances of how both theory and identity have informed his approach to solidarity with individuals who are undocumentable from Mexico and Central America. After the discussion, we will conclude and celebrate the work done together through food and a multifaith worship service with Rev. Neichelle R. Guidry Jones from Trinity United Church of Christ.

Schedule of the day:
9:30-10:00am: Registration
10:00-11:30am: Keynote address (third floor Lecture Hall)
11:45am-12:45pm: Lunch (catered by LSTC's Refectory, in the Common Room)
1:00-2:00pm: Worship (third floor Lecture Hall)
