The Project hopes to sponsor four seminars bringing ministers into
contact with other family professionals in 1) law, 2) therapy, 3) medicine,
and 4) theological education. The purpose of the seminars would be both
dissemination of Project findings and further research. Each seminar
would likely last 2 to 3 days and involve approximately 20 participants
(half of whom would be ministers).
Seminars would focus on three issues:
- how to promote inter-professional cooperation on marriage and family
issues;
- how Religion, Culture, and Family Project findings might help with
this cooperation;
- andhow a video might be produced of use for ministers and other
family professionals (see Videos).
It is hoped that the seminars will influence both ministry and other
professions by radiating out to other sectors of each profession represented.
Furthermore, we would encourage popular and scholarly articles to be
written out of the experience of the seminars.
