Celia Brickman received her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago Divinity School in 2000. She is the author of Aboriginal Populations in the Mind: Race and Primitivity in Psychoanalysis (Columbia University Press, 2003), which was nominated for the Gradiva Award of the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis. She is a clinical, faculty and research member of the Center for Religion and Psychotherapy; and is also known to students of the Divinity School as the French instructor whose course prepares them for their university language exams.
