Kristen Tobey is a PhD student in Anthropology and Sociology of Religion at the University of Chicago Divinity School. Her research focuses on the contemporary Catholic Left in the U.S., specifically the Plowshares nuclear disarmament movement, and on the ways self-marginalized religious groups maintain and negotiate their outsider identities as social categories shift.
