Kevin Boyd

Kevin Boyd is Director of Field Education and Church Relations at the Divinity School. Mr. Boyd is an alumnus of Stetson University and of the Divinity School’s M.Div. program. He served as a Chaplain at Rush University Medical Center, where he was specifically interested in neurological disorders and how the loss of memory function impacts the developed sense of self. There he also continued his interest in medical ethics (organ transplantation and the question of identity) and the interplay between religious beliefs and medical technology. His teaching interests include partnering with faculty at the Medical School to engage issues around religion and health. He is a Board Certified Chaplain through the Association of Professional Chaplains and is a Supervisory Candidate with the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education. He is an ordained American Baptist minister.
